Overview

As our SEO Specialist, you'll be responsible for the SEO of our partner's university websites, with the aim to deliver high-converting student inquiries. This includes identifying and executing the on-page and off-page strategy, traffic/enquiry forecasting, budget management and performance analysis of the websites.

Responsibilities

In particular, you will:

  • define and execute the SEO strategy for partner websites
  • manage all on-site optimisation – including meta tags, content, site architecture, internal linking, schema, sitemaps, load speed, URL paths etc.
  • research and contact websites that can provide potential back-linking opportunities
  • work closely with the content team to steer content strategy and social media
  • conduct regular research and analysis to identify new opportunities for traffic growth
  • manage content amplification channels and budget (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn and Outbrain)
  • project manage website improvements and problem solve issues
  • provide recommendations to improve CRO, UX and customer journey

Qualifications

Success in this role comes down to these key elements.

 

You'll be a subject matter expert on current technical SEO standards, best practices and guidelines and be proactive in learning new skills to stay on top of the evolving SEO field. You'll also have:

  • 3+ years proven experience in a SEO role (preferably in a highly regulated industry)
  • a Bachelor's degree in Media, Marketing, IT or a related field of study
  • advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, Trends and Keyword Planner
  • experience with SEO tools such as Moz, MajesticSEO and Brightedge  
  • strong experience with CMS (e.g. WordPress, Drupal)
  • strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to clearly communicate technical issues
  • proven ability to forecast and project traffic volume
  • and understanding of the higher education market (desirable but not essential)
